It's so easy to love the beauty of the blue smoke Columbian lemurians, with their whisps of smoke channeling up inside the crystal. Being somewhat new on the market over the last few years, and a bit of a mystery, it has finally been concluded that the "blue smoke" is actually not inclusions within the crystal, but tiny whispy channels that create the illusion of inclusions. Cool, right? If you explore it with a jewlers loupe, it's a trip. The golden-orange mineral that radiates up from the base is called cookeite, a lithium based mineral. In person, it will blow your socks off with it's sharp edges, color, and mini striations. High quality specimen.
