I had no idea that chrysoprase was found in Madagascar, but it is! Most commonly known from Australia, in a more translucent gemmy variety, this locality looks different. I bought it not knowing what it was at the time because I was just so drawn to it's glorious green that is a shade I haven't seen in any mineral. So I came home and did the research and boom - Madagascar. It's a chalcedony quartz and has little black, almost but not quite dendritic, speckles. They also have some iron colored spots. I'd love to know more, if you have more info, please share.
