"Navajun, Spain is an area where the conditions for forming pyrite have been perfect for millions of years. Navajun is located within the Cameros Basin, on the eastern side. In this basin, a perfect mixture of aquifers settles above rocks which are subject to low-grade hydrothermal metamorphism. In simpler terms, there is just the right amount of pressure, minerals, and water to produce massive pyrite crystals, such as this. Pyrite can form these large, perfect cubes because it exhibits a cubic crystal system.
This one is a beautiful cluster of two with super sharp edges all around. About as close to perfect as they come out. Also, note most of these are reconstructed, as it's industry standard, as they are commonly loosely connected at collection. It's really hard to tell which one's are and which one's aren't, so you most likely will never see where they reconnect or if they were ever separated.
